A while back I befriended a fellow in Germany named Dirk Schuktz. He has spent over 7 years digging up the complete
history of Coleman Barracks, and when his book came out in German, it was completely sold out in just a few months.
He had it transposed into english, and although the grammer might not pass all the english exams, it is quite interesting.
My picture, when I was in the drafting shop there in Coleman, along with the Colonel and all of his staff are in the book.
I don't know if any of you know any of the history of Coleman, but it was the base where all the German Fighter Aces were
during WW2, and it has extensive underground hangers that were flooded when we invaded the base. There is a lot of history.
The book is hardbound. All those on the reunion cruise got to see the book. I just talked to Dirk, and there are only 32 books
left, so if any of you are interested, its sure worth your time. I have gone back to mine many times, and I know that
Reuben Martin has done that with his also. Let me know if you are interested in one of these books on history that we
were part of. You will need to get back to me as soon as you can, as they will be gone. I do hope you all are having
a great day! Life is good!! 40 rounds JESS
