The earthquake has broken the gas pipe in the kitchen of the Andrades and the gas started to stream out. Santana and Brandon are on sleeping and losing unnoticed their consciousness. Mason and Ruben are coming to have a look for them. Mason at once notices the smell of the gas and carries out Brandon and Santana while Ruben tries to close the broken gas pipe. As it has been no electricity Santana was lightening a candle which is now exploding. Ruben gets terrible damaged and has to be brought to the Capwell hotel.
Rosa goes to see her husband. He is very weak. Rosa softly talks to him and is telling him the secret of Brandon and that he and CC are both the grandfather of the boy.
The Perkins get informed that John is hurt by helping to get people out of a house which collapsed. Marisa is very much in worry and goes to see him. She finds him in the rescue centre but he is already on dying and they are exchanging their last words together.
Laken has organised a rescue troop for finding her parents. On hearing voices Lionel and Augusta start shouting and get pulled up by ropes.
Mason has organised people in search for Kelly. Somebody phones to the hotel and tells them that they have seen her car in a street close to a damaged house. Cruz is running off in help to rescue her. He and a few men are getting through and find Joe with Kelly. Kelly's leg does not look very good and she is brought to the hospital. Joe tells Cruz that Dominic is also buried in the other room. Sophia on hearing them trying to pull her out is trying by herself with all her power to get out. When the rescue people come they are no more finding her. Sophia meanwhile back in her flat is quickly dressing herself as a widow fully in black with a veil and proceeds to the hospital to see Kelly. On seeing Mason Kelly asks him to take back the cocaine accusation from Joe. She is not giving in until Mason agrees for her health sake. Mason visits also Peter. Peter is in the intensive station. He is close to death and wants to say something to Kelly. Mason tells him that Kelly is not able to come as she herself is lying in the hospital and he better should tell it to him but Peter insists on Kelly. Sophia in the dress of a widow visits Kelly who is sleeping. She looks at her when a nurse comes in and is asking her shocked who she is. Sophia quickly runs out. The next person the widow is visiting is Peter. Peter is opening his eyes. Sophia asks him who the murderer of Channing has been. Peter in a very bad condition simply closes his eyes again. Sophia on getting mad starts shaking him and shouting against him to tell the name of the murderer. The pipe by which Peter is supplied is breaking off and the instruments starts playing mad sending alarm. Sophia rushes out of the room and the doctors and nurses in quickly saving Peter's life. Mason orders police to guard Peter's room.
Gina and Summer are on clearing up the financial matters of the heritage when hearing from the earth quake in Santa Barbara. Gina is much in worry about Brandon specially when it was said that all the connections have been broken.
CC from their side tries to reach Gina but the phones are all blocked. He manages finally to send her a helicopter and Gina arrives with Summer. Brandon is happy and tells her that Mason has saved CC's and his live. Gina tells them that there was no left over from the heritage but she shows not much worry about. She tells that she thinks to stay in Santa Barbara and take up a job as a secretary a job she has done anyway before. Santana invites her to stay in the apartment next to her which just got free. Gina accepts her offer thinking Santana as a real good friend. Gina is very thankful to CC for all his help and CC offers her to stay with them which Gina accepts. Gina informs Santana that CC has offered to her to stay in the mansion and that she is therefore not taking her offer. Santana gets very upset and runs to the mansion. They are having a very heavy dispute by which CC is throwing out Santana asking her no more to enter the mansion. Santana tells CC that he is having no right to do so and she will not accept it.
Eden feeling somehow offended by Cruz's remark on thinking only on herself starts to help a five year old Afro-American who has lost his parents and is in search for them. A camera is running from the local television team while a reporter is asking questions to people. They catch Eden and Eden is taking this chance to take the boy up in her arms and asks if anybody has seen the parents of this boy. Cruz on seeing Eden in the television makes a remark like who has thought this and makes his way to the Capwell hotel with the intention to help her. Eden meanwhile starts searching with the boy in the part of the town where the boy was living. The boy is not an easy one. He is having a lot of remarks on everything Eden is doing. They enter one apartment where his parents might have been and surprise two men who are taking advantage of the situation and are on carrying out the television and other valuables which they are finding. Eden gets upset on seeing what they are doing and asks them to put down at once the things in their hands. One man is putting down the things but just to knock Eden down and run away with everything. The boy quickly hides himself and when Eden recovers he tells her that he only will go on searching with her if she promises to him no more to talk in this way to thieves.
Warren rides back to the cave and by making a way through the stones he gets into the cave taking out the bag with the coins again. On coming home with it he hands the bag over to Lionel asking him angry to take care for himself from now on for this sign of his funny love affair with Sophia. Lionel on not knowing what to do first takes the bag and goes to the tomb of Sophia where he buries it. When he steps aside and goes away Dominic comes out from behind the bushes and digs for the bag taking it along with him.
Eden meets Cruz in the chaos at the hotel and he tells her that he is going to help them in search for the parents of the boy. Finally they find the parents making a happy end for the boy but not yet for Cruz and Eden.
Eden on not getting the wanted information about her mother puts on a pullover of Sophia and one of her necklace. Taking up a big bottle she goes to the Lockridges where Minx as an expert in earthquakes has given order to give free water to all neighbours as their well was still in order. Augusta was receiving not very joyously the neighbours taking their vessels and handing them to Warren and Brick who run through the living room into the garden for fetching the water. When Eden comes Lionel hides himself quickly behind the door of the garden and is watching her. Augusta can't help in making a sarcastically remark to Eden that she knows the person she mentioned to her was nobody else then she herself. Eden is standing quit waiting for her water and not entering Augusta's remark. Lionel on seeing Eden with the pullover and the outfit of her mother is getting reminded on Sophia the more. He is getting flashbacks and sees parts of their love affairs. How he was kissing her and how their affair ended the first time in the bed of a hotel when Sophia found out that he was married.
Mason goes to see Santana and finds her clearing up the house of her parents. She asks him not to come too close as he will make himself dirty. Mason takes off his jacket and starts helping her. Santana finds that he is showing himself from a side which she finds very positive giving him some hope. In the evening Mason comes to Santana's apartment with a towel and a oil for massage telling her that he has come to massage away her muscle pains she got this day. Santana tells him that she knows something better she will massage him. Mason is holding Santana tenderly her shoulder when CC comes and quickly goes on seeing them. Their massage evening ends in a simple kiss.
Gina carefully approaches CC asking him about his relation about Santana. CC mentions that at the moment it looks as if his son is together with her. Gina addresses Santana asking her also the same question. Santana tells her that they are no more together and if she wants to have him she must not feel any guilt because of her.
Ruben is at home again talking to Santana about Brandon. He is very upset about CC in having taken their grandson but Santana asks him not to tell to Brandon as she finds Gina a good mother to him and the boy should not get disturbed by such stories. Rosa talks to Santana and warns her not to get too close to Mason. She tells her that Mason can be at some times very nice but he is also having something devilish in him by which she will get hurt. Santana tells her that she also does not know what bad fate she is having in being bound to the Capwell's. First Channing, then CC and now Mason as if she never is able to get away from them.
On getting questioned by Augusta and Warren about the coins Lionel visits the tomb of Sophia and starts digging. He gets very disturbed on finding out that the coins are no more there. Dominic comes out of the bushes with a revolver in his hand informing him that the coins are on a save place. Lionel asks him who he is and he says a friend of Sophia and goes.
Dominic visits Kelly in the hospital. She tells him that Peter wants to talk to her but the doctors are not ready to let her go to him. She asks Dominic to help her into the wheelchair. Dominic agrees to help her even in worry that she might be too weak. When in the wheelchair Dominic drives Kelly out to Peter's door. At that moment Mason is coming and Kelly tells him that she wants to talk to Peter. Dominic all of a sudden sees Lionel and silently goes away. The moment Lionel is seeing him he runs behind but Dominic can quickly escape in the elevator. Mason wonders about Dominic and asks Kelly who he is. Kelly tells that it is only a friend of her.
Lionel follows Dominic to his apartment. Dominic is already changed to Sophia wearing her negligee and lady shoes. Lionel on not getting answered the bell breaks into the room. Sophia quickly hides herself behind the curtain and Lionel is getting only to see her shoes and a part of the legs of a lady. She plays very upset and asks him at once to go otherwise she will phone to the police. Lionel on seeing nobody else in the room wonders where the man has gone he was seeing going inside. Sophia tells him with a changed voice that he might have seen her husband but he has gone already again. Lionel goes. When he comes back at another time he has to find out to his dismay that Dominic and his wife has changed the apartment. He asks in the house the other parties but they only know about a man and not a woman who was living there. Lionel is confused but yet thinks henceforth that not only one but two persons are behind him.
Mason pushes Kelly with the wheelchair into the room of Peter. Peter tells her that he only wants to talk to her alone. Mason pretends to go out by opening the door and closing it again while hiding himself behind the board with all the live giving instruments signing to Kelly to keep quite. Peter starts to confess to Kelly that on the day when Channing was killed he saw that Channing was getting a notice. He wanted to know whom he is going to meet and went into the yard and saw that Channing was lying on the ground in blood. Shortly afterwards he saw Joe coming in with another man not known to him. Peter is progressing in his tale very slowly as he is having difficulties to speak and he has to lean back from time to time to close his eyes and rest. He asks her if she can forgive him in keeping back this truth but he wants to get peace now he is so close to the death. Kelly tells him that she can forgive everything to him. She asks him if he has seen who has been in the room before Joe has entered it. Peter is getting up a little bit in his bed on sensing somebody else in the room. He looks into the mirror opposite on the wall and sees Mason hiding himself at the door. He falls back into his pillow and says yes he saw Mason. Peter is losing his consciousness. Kelly looks at Mason and can't believe what she heard. She presses the button and the doctor comes with the nurse to attend to Peter. Mason stands pale next to Kelly at the wall. Kelly takes Mason's hand and asks him if this is true. Mason presses her hand desperately and says no.
Mason pushes Kelly out of the room. CC is waiting there eager to know what Peter has told. Mason tells him that he said that he saw Joe entering the room after Channing was already killed. CC is embarrass on hearing this. CC asks if he could see the murderer but Mason says that this is all. Mason brings back Kelly. Kelly tells him that she can't believe that a person being at the edge of the death is telling a lie. She gets upset against Mason on keeping Joe for five years in prison and asks him to tell the truth. Mason keeps silent and goes.
Santana is in a very strange depressive mood. She answers the bell. It is Mason. She at once senses that something is not alright with him. He tells her that he is in big troubles and does not want to be alone. Santana tells him that she also feels like in need of somebody to lean on. Mason takes a drink and the next. He opens up and feeling that she is standing on his side is giving him much.
Lionel meets Eden secretly and guides her to a private room in the museum. He tells her that he is going to show her something of her mother. Eden feels slightly strange thinking the guards of the museum might come but Lionel tells her that he is having the key to this room as a special appointment for having a place where he can work peacefully alone. Dominic is following both and listens at the door. Eden is a little bit inpatient not knowing what Lionel is going to show her while he enjoys her presence. He takes a video tape and puts it into the video player. It is a video if her mother showing her giving an interview to reporters on her family. Lionel is driven away in strange memories while Eden is embarrassed. She all of a sudden jumps up and tells him that she finds it very strange that she is sitting here with the lover of her mother watching this video while she actually should see it together at home with her father. She demands the video from Lionel. Lionel is on giving it to her but then taking back his hand he tells her that he can't do this. Dominic at that moment is knocking at the door. Eden gets frightened and rushes out while Dominic hides behind the door. He then goes in and keeping Lionel on gun point he demands the video tape. Lionel has to give it and Dominic goes.
Mason talks to Peter. Peter is feeling extremely happy and astoundingly strong again. He tells Mason how he has seen him in the mirror and all his hate was coming up and now he feels so great in having paid back to him all what he has done to him. All will believe him as nobody will lie at the edge of the death. He ponders how he can make his story more believable and colourful by telling how he vanished behind the secret door in the cupboard. Peter on the top of his joy and trump makes a movement by which one of the plugs of his life machine is getting out. Peter asks Mason in fear to put it in again but Mason takes away the call button asking him to promise to take back his accusation. Peter at the point to agree is losing his consciousness and Mason presses the call button and goes out unseen. The doctors come and Peter is rescued but lying in coma.
Mason visits Kelly several times but every time on trying to clear up the matter his visit ends in a hot dispute with a lot of accusations from the side of Kelly who demands him to tell the truth to the public and specially her family before she is going to do so. At one of such occasion CC is hearing them fight and demands what the reason is. Kelly demands from Mason to tell it to CC. On hearing Peter's accusation CC is getting very upset against Mason. Mason asks them not to believe a prostitute and liar and that Peter has seen him in the mirror but CC as well as Kelly say that nobody at the edge of his death will be able to bring forward such a lie. Mason is doubling the security guard for Peter's room giving the order that nobody is allowed to visit him. Dominic is visiting Kelly trying to find out what Peter has said. On finding out that Peter called Mason as the murderer he tells Kelly that this is nonsense and she should not believe in this. Peter hates Mason and lied to bring disharmony into the family but he knows who the real murderer is and will show it up soon.
CC at once takes steps to disinherit Mason and put on his place Brandon by having the intention to keep this a secret. Mason comes to the mansion and on finding out that he was disinherit he searches upset for the testament in the drawers of CC's desk. He finds the testament and can't believe that CC has given his part to the little boy. He thinks over and put the puzzle together suspecting Channing as Brandon's father.
Joe gets acknowledged his innocence at the court. The whole Capwell family, the Perkins and a lots of reporters are present. The Capwell's are saying sorry to Joe and the reporter want to know when he is going to marry Kelly Capwell. Joe says that they did not think about this up to now. He also is getting some damages paid. A happy day for the Perkins, Joe and Kelly. All the news papers of Santa Barbara are reporting about wondering what Peter Flint else will tell them when getting out of his coma.
Mason is having a terrible confrontation with CC. It starts with the disinherit and Brandon's part of his heritage. Mason is not defending himself in the murder case of Channing but tells CC that he always was hating Channing and he feels not sorry that he is dead. CC feels very much offended in his love to Channing for whom he created a the fiction of a super human being without failure. He knocks Mason down to the ground. Mason still on the ground is not stopping with his hateful accusations against Channing and CC's love for him. CC takes the pistol and is going to shoot him. Mason tells him he should go on and shoot him not showing any fear. CC asks him to pack his things and move out of the mansion. He can't see him any longer. Mason takes his things and moves to the presidential suite.
Mason visits Santana. He makes a marriage proposal to her. Santana is not so enthusiastic about. She says that she finds him much more nice since he is no more attached to CC but she needs time to think over it. Mason takes her first tenderly in his arms and then he tells her that he wants to sleep with her. Santana is giving halfway in. Mason takes her up and carries her to the bed and tells her she needs not to worry he is very good in bed. He places her on the bed and lies on her giving her no room to escape. He then tells her that he will be even better than Channing. Santana pushes him away and Mason says that he knows that this is the reason for not accepting his marriage proposal. She still loves the father of her son. Santana is deeply wounded as Mason obviously was telling her the truth. Mason on the other side looses completely all his self control and starts shouting against her while Santana quickly takes a big knife from the kitchen corner and asks him to leave her apartment at once. Mason is not giving in so easily and tells her that if she is not agreeing to marry him he will go and tell Gina and Brandon the truth. Santana begs him not to do this as the boy has nothing to do with her. CC is just on visiting Santana and on hearing their shouting he runs for her help. She tells him that Mason wants to tell Gina and Brandon the truth. CC also asks Mason not to do but Mason runs out of the door. Santana quickly decides that the best would be to tell it by herself before Mason is telling it to them. She phones to Gina and asks her to come to the Lameza. Gina wonders what happened and hurries with Brandon there. Santana is sitting very excited with Gina and Brandon but then is not having the courage to tell it to her and runs out. Shortly after Mason finds Gina and Brandon. He tells her that he has to tell her something important. Gina asks him to tell her what is going on and why all this excitement. Brandon is happy to see Mason and greets him with joy. Mason takes first a drink and watches Brandon. He offers some cookies to him and talks about all and sundry. CC is phoning to the bar asking if Mason is already there and gets told that he is sitting with Gina. He hurries to the bar sure that he already has told it to them. Mason gets up and leaves the bar without telling it to them when CC storms in and upset tells him that he knows that he has told it. Mason shortly says no, he could not do this to Brandon.
Santana packs quickly all her things and tells her mother that the only way to get rid of Mason is to go away from Santa Barbara. Rosa feels pity but knows also that this might be the best. Mason is taking some drinks in a bar and then calms down. He feels sorry for the scene and goes to Santana. He asks her softly to open and that he feels so much sorry about. When no reply is coming he tries to open the door and notices that it is open. He goes into the apartment and sees that Santana has taken all her belongings. On the table there is a letter for him informing him that she has gone away from Santa Barbara not knowing by herself where she is going. Mason is sitting on her sofa in the dark and is embarrassed about the situation. He starts dreaming from Santana and the short wonderful time they shared together.
Eden visits Cruz on his boat and asks him for giving her lessons in diving. Cruz wants to know why she wants to learn this. She tells him that she wants to dive for the Amanda Lockridge before the safe is brought up with the log book. Cruz hesitantly gives in. She tells him that she does not want to bring him into troubles and will dive by herself alone. She knows that the Amanda Lockridge was getting into a better position after the earth quake. Cruz mentions to her that the people are talking that she is having an affair with Lionel Lockridge. Eden denies everything. The diving lessons are the first time when Cruz and Eden are not in fight. Eden shows much longing for him but to her disappointment Cruz is not entering her longing and sends her always quickly home after their lessons.
Eden asks CC if she can overtake the office of Peter since he has proven that he is not capable to handle the property department. CC agrees and Eden moves into the office. Her relation to Veronica who is back again replacing Amy is somehow strained as her enthusiasm is too big and she is too demanding. Veronica in generally is a very good and loyal secretary who is also working till night if necessary to keep everything running.
Veronica is meeting Mason in the Presidential Suit to discuss some office matter. He is still depressed because of Santana. He asks her how it comes that an attractive woman like her is having no friend. Veronica says that maybe she is working too much and is having no time. Or maybe never the right one has come. CC comes and disturbing their meeting starts a fight with Mason. Veronica goes even Mason asks her to stay. Veronica goes into the store room and watches them through the mirror while listening to their conversation by which she understands the conflict. Mason anyway drinking very much since Peter's accusation and the more since Santana went away is taking another glass of a hard drink. CC gets upset on seeing him drinking and hits the glass out of his hand. Veronica comes back and knocks at the door bringing a file. CC is going. He asks Veronica to come along with him but she tells him that she will stay making it clear on which side she is standing. Mason thanks her for her loyalty but tells her that she really can go as he is not a good company this evening. Veronica tells him that she will not let him alone in this condition. He really might drink a little bit less. She cleans up the glass on the ground and sits next to him on the sofa and comforts him. She also stays with Mason over night and both starts to feel drawn to each other.
Brick introduces Amy to Minx for a new secretary but it seems Minx is not satisfied with her. Amy finds out that she is pregnant. She is totally destroyed and does not know what to do. She goes for a second examination and gets a confirmation. The doctor is very kind to her and tells her that she should let her know if she will keep the baby or not. At home Amy tries to keep it a secret as she herself is not knowing how she will decide. The doctor is phoning from time to time and tells her that she soon is having to decide as it will be otherwise too late for an abortion.
Brick is visiting Amy and he is very nice to her. She guides him to the door and after closing the door behind him she is very sad as she thinks when a boy finds out that a girl is pregnant he normally leaves her. Why should Brick be different. In order not to get hurt she keeps distance by herself. Brick always truthful at once knows that she is hiding something and finally she tells him the truth thinking he will stand up and go. Brick even surprised asks her how she has decided. She tells him that she has not yet decided. Brick tells her in which way she ever will decide he will be on her side and accept her decision.
Amy slowly is getting used to her condition and the idea in getting a baby and decides to keep it. She wants that Jeff also knows about and flies to San Francisco. Brick accompanies her against her wish. Amy meets Jeff in a restaurant. Brick sits silently next to them. Jeff starts to tell Amy about his new sport car. Brick notices what kind of type Jeff is. Just when Amy wants to start to tell Jeff the truth Brick stops her by telling that they have to go now and it was nice to meet him. On being alone Amy is very upset about Brick but he explains to her that he could not bear to see how Jeff is going to hurt her and tried to prevent this.
Amy and Brick are searching out a cheap hotel. The lady at the counter tells them that all rooms are occupied. Brick tells her that they are in need of a room as his wife is pregnant. Amy quickly puts her bag under her coat which makes her appear as she is in the last month. The woman comes forward and looks at her. On seeing Amy with her big belly she gets kind and gives them a room. Amy and Brick are joking around in the room and listen with glasses to the fights of a couple in the next room. All of a sudden Amy's mood changes and it takes not long and they themselves are in a heavy fight because of Jeff. The couple in the next room calls for the lady at the reception and she finds out that they have cheated her. Brick promises to her that they will keep quite. This situation makes both of them laugh. Amy finally goes to sleep in the bed while Brick is sleeping while leaning against the wardrobe. The next morning when Brick is taking a shower Amy is phoning to Jeff and tells him where she is staying and that she is expecting a baby from him. Jeff shouts into the receiver that this is not true and he is having nothing to do with it. Amy now understands that Brick was right and they reconcile. All of a sudden Jeff is coming and asks her how she is thinking that he is the father it might be her new friend. Amy feels very much hurt and Brick is knocking him down and both leave.
Amy is buying books about pregnancy and comes home with her filled basket. Jade comes and sits next to her and starts playfully searching out her basket. She at once recognizes the books and the reason for it. She embraces Amy and finds it great that she wants to get the baby. Soon also her mother wants to know what is going on and Amy tells her the truth that she is going to get a baby and wants to have it. Marica is not as kind to her like Jade. For the first moment she is very shocked and then upset tells her that she need not to think that she will take care for her baby. Now since they finally all grown up and they are in urgent need of money a baby is totally out of question. Amy runs into her room and cries. Marica calms down and recognizes what she has done. She goes to Amy and says sorry and she certainly will be also happy if she wants to keep her baby.
Eden goes diving. She finds out the exact times when Lionel is not on his boat to get unseen to the place where the Amanda Lockridge is. Lionel wants to talk to Eden and goes to her office. Veronica who is a friend of Lionel as he once helped her brother tells him where she is and he understands at once what Eden intents to do. Lionel tells Augusta that he is meeting a broker at the yacht.
The beach security is taking Eden in custody bringing her to the yacht of Lionel. On seeing Lionel she tells the officers that she wants to be brought to the police. Lionel tells them that they should leave her with him. Lionel jokes about her attempt in getting the log book and goes close to her. She tells him that when he touches her she will shout. Lionel talks to her softly telling her that he knows what she wants and she should not be afraid in doing it and suppressing her true feelings. Eden denies such feelings warning him again not to touch her. Lionel presses the button of the tape recorder and a wonderful romantic music is playing. Lionel goes to Eden and without touching her he glides his hand over her hair and her body and gets very close with his face to hers and back again. Eden's ice is melting more and more and she gets at a point where she can't hide her longing anymore and finally asks him to do it. They go over to the sofa and when they sit and start embracing each other Lionel gets up all of a sudden and stops the music telling her that he won't do it. Eden gets up embarrassed and cooled down at once.
Ted has asked his father for their yacht to meet some friends. Laken and he are meeting there for their first night. Both are beautiful dressed under normal street dresses to avoid questions at home. They make everything very romantically. They dance to a romantically music and candlelight slowly getting close to the bed and taking off some of their dresses. Laken all of a sudden gets up again and goes to the window telling Ted that she only wants to close the curtains. While closing the curtains she looks out and comes back to the bed completely disturbed. Ted notices this and asks her what she has seen. As she does not reply to him he gets up and goes to see by himself and is shocked to see Eden with Lionel standing together at the Lockridge yacht talking and going into the yacht again.
Augusta at home is talking with Brick. The phone rings and Augusta asks him to take and tell her who it is. Brick tells her that the person says that he is from the yacht. There is a woman who was diving caught by the beach watch staying with her husband. She tells Brick to ask how the woman looks like and Brick gets told that she is having blond hair. Augusta knows at once that this woman must be Eden. She asks Brick to drive her to the yacht. The moment they are out Dominic comes in and goes into their sleeping room.
Augusta arrives at the yacht and enters it. Brick waits outside and sees a totally disturbed Laken passing by. He asks her if he should bring her home but she wants to go by foot. Augusta comes under deck when Eden is slapping Lionel because of making her weak. Lionel tells Augusta that nothing has happened what she thinks but Augusta says she sees at once that this slap was a sign of love and not of real opposition. She accuses Eden in planing the diving by knowing that she would get caught and brought to the boat. Lionel tries to protect Eden in clearing up the situation but is making Augusta the more upset. Eden runs out and Lionel drives home with Augusta.
Eden at home is daydreaming about the situation on the boat with Lionel when Ted approaches her very excited asking her what she has done on the boat of the Lockridges. He has seen her together with Lionel. Eden tells him that is nothing concern to him. CC on hearing their dispute wants to know what is going on. Eden tells him that she tried to dive and get the log book from the Amanda Lockridge and got caught by the beach police as somebody must have given a hint to Lionel.
Brick informs Lionel and Augusta that he has seen Laken totally disturbed at the yacht but she did not want to be brought home by him. Augusta is very excited on knowing that Laken is in such a state on the road in the dark. In their sleeping room Dominic is just on trying to sew a paper into a dinner jacket he has taken out from Lionel's wardrobe. He is freely standing in the room thinking to be alone. On hearing the voices he quickly hides himself in the wardrobe losing the notice. Lionel comes in and picks up the notice. It is a little bit dirty by dried blood and says: “Come to the study room”. Lionel wondering from where the notice comes into their sleeping room gets called by Augusta who pops into the room and sees him with the notice. He puts it on the top of the cupboard and goes out. Dominic quickly comes out and fetches the notice and hides again in the wardrobe going on to sew the paper into the dinner jacket inside the wardrobe.
Laken phones from a phone tube and Augusta calms her down saying that Lionel is with her and everything is alright. Laken promises to come home. Augusta is going to the wardrobe to change her dress. Dominic is close in getting found by her while she searches through her dresses. Augusta talks to Lionel about Eden again blaming her in having created the situation on the yacht today. Their talk goes to Sophia. Augusta tells him that she would not be so scared about if she does not know now that he was having an affair with Sophia. Augusta is having a lot of bad remarks on Sophia's character. They talk about Sophia's relationship to CC. Lionel tells her that he thinks Sophia never loved CC. Augusta opposes his view telling that she obviously loved her children. Augusta but closes their talk by telling that since she is dead they never will find it out anyway. Dominic's blood starts boiling by all he gets to hear. He finishes the sewing but is having no way out. Augusta goes to the living room while Lionel is searching for the notice he put on the cupboard. He stands thinking in front of the half open door of the wardrobe when Dominic knocks him down with the backside of his revolver and escapes. Augusta comes into the room finding Lionel on the ground and slowly recovering with an aching head.
CC wants to meet Peter to find out what he really has seen. Mason is taking very much care that nobody is entering Peter's room special no reporters. When he sees how difficult this situation is to keep he orders that for the reason of safety of Peter whom somebody might kill to be brought to another hospital which is not known to anybody. Peter is still in coma and the bottle and instruments all have to accompany him. The doctors are not for such a transport but have to give in. Mason goes with Peter. In the ambulance and during their transport Peter opens his eyes. On seeing Mason with a big smile leaning over him he at once closes the eyes again. At the other hospital Mason orders the doctor to inform him at once when Peter gains back his consciousness but without telling his name and who he is as there is a big danger that somebody is going to kill Peter. The doctor is agreeing to this terms. CC and the reporters who find their way into Peter's room get told that Peter is shifted to an unknown place. CC and Kelly are very upset about Mason in doing so but also can't help.
Peter is getting out of his coma and realises that he is in a very delicate situation. He fears Mason will kill him like he was nearly killing him by not pushing in the plugs again. He ponders about to whom he should phone. He finds out that he really is having not many friends. He phones to Veronica to the office asking her desperately to come. Veronica feels pity with Peter and goes to see him. Peter is asking her to help him out of this situation as he is having nobody else. He fears that he is in big danger. Veronica comforts him and tells him that she will see what she can do for him but since she is together with Mason she does not want to be in any way untruthful to him. The doctor informs Mason that Peter is out of the coma and got a visit by a woman without their knowledge. Mason wonders who this woman could have been.
There will be an exhibition at the museum. Mr. Peal a very well-known painter will come and give a show. CC goes and instructs Summer that this exhibition is excluding the Lockridges as they are not in good terms with Mr. Peal and he does not want any dispute during this evening. Warren comes to see Summer and gets informed about. Warren passes on this information at home but Lionel is getting very upset and says that he is not thinking in staying at home. CC and Eden go to the exhibition. To their surprise the guest in honour turns out as the daughter of Mr. Peal. She informs in her speech that her father has been too occupied and could not come and has sent her to replace him. She is just on giving a little speech when Lionel storms into the whole audience. Summer asks him to stop as this is a closed event but he tells her loud that nobody is holding him back until he has said what he wants to say. Then he is greeting Elizabeth Peal in a very arrogant way and starts to blame her and her fathers lousy paintings till she starts to cry while Lionel turns around and goes away. CC is comforting her at once and inviting her to stay with them in the mansion an offer which she at once accepts.
In the mansion Gina tries her best to get attention from CC. She again and again approaches him to thank him for his kindness in letting her live in the mansion. She selects always the most wonderful dresses which he might like and even starts to rival with Rosa in trying to take away her job in serving coffee to CC in his office. CC is kind to her but is not entering much her approaches. Now he comes with Liz Peal and as it seems she is having quickly much more success than Gina. Gina has made herself ready to go with CC for dinner outside. She tells CC since he is always working so hard she thought it might give him a change to go with her for a dinner. CC says that they could ask Liz if she also wants to join. Gina finds that she might be too tired but when CC questions Liz she at once finds it a great idea. When coming home Gina suggests to take a drink to CC. Liz at once finds she also is having the feeling for a drink. She thanks CC for this wonderful evening. Gina tells her that she must be already very tired and Liz finally gives in and goes. Gina relieved wants to drink with CC when he excuses himself telling her that he feels very tired and goes. In this line Gina's plans for CC are crossed by Liz for the next time.
The next day Liz informs that she has to go to the museum for getting her pictures ready and we find her meeting herself secretly with Lionel. She is somehow late at their meeting place and Lionel at once notices from her remarks that she is also engaged in hunting behind CC's money. He asks her to forget her attempts for a while and first concentrate on the salvage of the Amanda Lockridge. She has faked for this a lot of pictures giving them an old touch. She tells him that everybody will think that the paintings have been under water for nearly hundred years. It turns out that she is specially gifted in making duplicates of paintings from famous painters. They have a hearty laugh on their show at the exhibition making everybody believe that they are foes. Liz asks Lionel when he is taking up the safe and Lionel tells her the other day. Liz wants to come but Lionel is against as somebody might see her.
