Pro Bono work as parent volunteer. Designed and built multi-zone LAN for printer and file sharing, in addition to Internet access, for this 180-student school under strict cost constraints. Utilized Cat 5 cabling in a backbone topology for LocalTalk network with IP tunneling through a server with software routing and IP gateway to integrate all classrooms and offices with school's Ethernet network and NT4 IIS server, connected to school department and the Internet through a frame relay connection.

Wrote printer drivers (HP-DW660C, HP-DJ85xC, Epson Color Stylus family) and provided bug fixes for T-Script©, the PostScript© RIP for non-PostScript© printers. MacOS using MW CW 9 IDE in C.

Enhanced, modified, and maintained MestaMed Plus, a medical, and financial application. Alpha/AXP/OpenVMS in DBL using RMS, FDL, DCL, VAXSet.

• Salvaged Digital/GIA GeniSys relational database of marketing and sales information, with over two million records. Working on a team, migrated database to Rdb using SQL and CDD+, writing conversion routines in VAX C.
  
  
• Worked on task forces to implement bar code scanning into physical inventory process and implement EDI with satellite production facilities, as two methods to improve productivity and inventory turns at Digital's semiconductor fabrication facility in Hudson, MA. Enhanced, modified, and maintained CROPS, MaxCIM (VAX BASIC, DecForms, FMS, VAXSet), and Workstream (aka COMETS) (VAX COBOL, DBMS) manufacturing and financial applications.
  

Designed and wrote Watch, the VAX/VMS calendar/phonebook manager in FORTRAN using SMG, RTL, System Services Library, and RMS.
